Staying close to your Customers

Thursday, October 16th, 2008

One of the most vital aspects of running a successful business apart from the business infrastructure is its customers – without them there is no business. So it is crucial that you make sure that your customers feel valued and as though you as a business want them to continue to be one of your customers for the foreseeable future. On the surface this seems like an easy and straightforward objective – so why do so many businesses get it wrong and lose customers?

One answer is that many businesses do not stay close to their customers and therefore lose track of what their customers actually want from them in terms of good customer service – and this leads to lost custom. With every business competing with similar businesses there is no longer the attitude that “They can’t get this anywhere else so I can treat my customers as I like”. Instead every business should take the time and care over their treatment of their customers to maintain good relationships between them. But how can you do this whilst running a business and meeting the other numerous demands that are put upon you and your employees every day without your business suffering in other areas?

In plain and simple terms – by using a software application such as S3 CRM. S3 CRM is a new and innovative customer relationship management software application that is designed to offer businesses a way to provide excellent customer service whilst maximising efficiency and reducing costs at the same time. So how does this work? S3 CRM works by being a whole of business application and not just one that is used to store customer information and contact details. With S3 CRM you can create customer records and add contact details, quotes, invoices, important documentation, project information and even photos of your customers to provide a type of ‘one stop shop’ for customer information.

Now when you or your employees are speaking to customers you have every single piece of information and documentation relating to that customer on one application and attached to that customers record. This means an end to searching through various files and applications to find information such as quotes and outstanding invoices when speaking to a customer. The customer will then have a heightened sense of satisfaction with your business as they feel as though you and your employees are professional and do not have to waste their time searching for lost paperwork, something which can be very frustrating when you contact a business.

By using S3 CRM you will drastically cut down on the number of complaints that your business gets and you will earn a (deserved) reputation for being a business who stays close to their customers and recognises their needs and provides first class customer service. Then once you have managed to achieve this for your business simply sit back and watch as those repeat orders flood in and your bottom line grows and grows.
